Wanting to bring in some of our locally made honey into Samoa as presents for family. It is properly packaged and sealed and purchased from a shop. Just not sure what the restrictions are.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, the import of honey and other bee products is strictly prohibited as explained here.
You might contact the Quarantine Department to request a permit but I doubt that there will be one.
Thanks for your reply
I just read that we cannot take honey into Samoa
Years ago when we travelled there we were able to but that was before all the diseases had occurred with our hives in Australia and New Zealand.
Very understandable that they do not wish their hives being effected
We will just need to buy there honey while we are there. We have to in our tea.
So go through a a lot of honey LOL
