Help please with visiting Iguazu Falls

I am hoping for some information please We are visiting the falls first on the Brazil side and then crossing over to the Argentina side and we would really like to stay for 3-4 days there.

My first question is, are there any other places that we can go for a few days after the falls, we are not into big cities

Second question we are travelling independent and will be flying from Sao Paulo to the Iguazu how do you get over to the Argentina side, not sure if we need to look at bus or a driver I am not even sure how far it is. I am really hoping for some advice thanking you

The two towns which make up the falls areas of the two countries are located side by side; so it is quite easy to travel between the two areas. Taxi's are plentiful and travel between all areas of the National parks for both countries. Local bus service is available between the two National parks.

The Brazilian park is smaller and requires around 4 hours for a visit and that would include a visit to the optional bird sanctuary.

The Argentine park has more extensive walkways and requires a full day to appreciate the area.

If you are planning accommodations then you can stay in one hotel then visit each area via local transport.

Other than the National Parks then the other interest is the Itaipu Dam which can be accessed via Brazil.

If you are traveling on to Buenos Aires via bus then the Jesuit Missions ruins near Posadas can be visited via bus travel. Have a look at www.welcomeargentina.com for more details.
