Dolmus

Hi everyone looking for guidance again. If coming from oludeniz to hisaranu on the dolmus where is the best place to get off ? Does it have a terminal or should we just watch where others get off . Also does the dolmus then carry on to Fethiya and then again where is best place to get off there. My hubby has walking difficulties so have to stop for a rest every so often ( drink and rest ) so always look for easies routes etc . Thanks in advance can’t wait to make our first visit staying at Libertys hotel.

On getting to Hisaronu (from Oludeniz), the dolmus turns left at the roundabout where the Monday market is held , it then trundles through the village passing all the shops and restaurants, past the fountains to the far roundabout; then trundles back up through the shops etc heading to the orriginal roundabout. You can basically ask to get off wherever you want (although there are specific bus stops).

Once back to the main roundabout it will again turn left and 10-12 mins later you will be in Fethiye. If you get off where the dolmus terminates that is the nearest point to the markets and harbour.

The sign on the dolmus from Oludeniz will say; Hisaronu, Ovacik and Fethiye.

Hi Linda, taking into consideration - the best place to get off is the mosque in Hisaronu (so just mention that to the driver). That;s the flattest part where you can wonder around without any real hills. The taxi return is just a case of holding your hand out (the buses are - in the main- either to Fethiye or Oludeniz and this is clearly displayed in the window, but ask when you board before paying to check). Yes the bus does carry on to Fethiye and easy to get off at the last stop. From there it's a flat walk to the old town and marina etc - with plenty of resting points on the way. The large mosque that you will see - just down from the bus terminus, just do a left at that and you can't really go wrong - but just ask for the 'Paspatur' (the old twon) if you need help with directions. Map attached.

Sorry CF 🍺

Right money is good, only a few lira but they do have change, they drive on the RHS of the road so thats the side you get off.

Is the main street in Hisaronu still closed to traffic at night? If so, and the OP wants to have an evening there, they can't get off at the mosque. They would be best getting off just at the road barrier, and walking down the hill.

So how much is the dolmus fare now? "A few lira" doesn't really help.

It certainly is Ned, but they would just drop you off at the nearest point anyway (to the mosque) that would be near the Migros which is only a hundred or so meters away. If you have three lira that should do it. Obviously yes the first stop of an evening is another option and that stop is just as you enter Hisaronu and stops opposite the Shine restaurant on your left and Abrakedabera on your right. Taxi at the moment would cost around £5 each way.

Thanks, Codfather. We will be in His for the fifth time in June, and I'm sure we will be on that Dolmus a few times. And in the Shine!

Yep, dolmus from or to Olu Deniz is 4 lira, 25 kurus. During the day you can get on or off by the mosque in Hisaronu. There is a currency exchange shop. I find it one of the easier places to find my way to. The road is pedestrianised at night but the driver will still drop you nearby the mosque if you ask
