We plan to be in Cape Town and environs for two week starting July 4, and we were wondering if we actually need to make advance reservations for accommodations since that is the off-season and there is this water scare. We were thinking of staying in Camps Bay or nearby areas in an AirBnB or the like. We have had mixed results on AirBnB and we'd prefer to see a place before committing for some time.
We do want four star (or close) accommodations (we're older now) if that affects your answer.
