Has anyone driven this without a 4x4 -its the beach just beyond Sunset restaurant ?
it appears to just be a gravel road.
Yes, we went with quite a big party in a dolmus type bus. The road is as you say, not made up, just rough track. It’s also steep and very winding with some quite sharp bends, so I guess it depends how adventurous/ foolhardy you’re feeling!
We have done it in a Fiat Doblo. Not to bad going down but the drive back up can be tricky, very slippery, loose gravel and stones.4X4 would be more practical, however the locals do it in 40yr old Renaults, Fiats etc,Even tractors!
Be careful about driving on the beach. Some years ago we drove there with Volkan,as my o.h. Is disabled and sat in the vehicle as we swam,Volkan being ever helpful wanted to include him more in our trip so drove nearer the sea. When we came to leave it had sunk into the pebbles.Despite everyone pushing ,it sank lower.Volkan arranged for everyone to be ferried to Sunset and sometime later the vehicle joined us having been towed by a local farmers tractor. Happy Dalyan memories.
