International Flight to Domestic Flight

Hello guys. Happy New Year,

I am traveling to Mumbai and landing at Chatrapati Shivaji Airport at 15:55 (as per itinery) on 29th Jan and I want a domestic connecting flight as soon as possible. The one I am getting is at 17:30 from same airport and same Terming. Is that transfer time enough between the international landing and domestic departure time to pass through immigration and baggage collection and check in for Domestic flight.

International flight is Kenya Airways and connecting flight is Air India to Ahmedabad.

Ps. I am not an Indian Passport Holder.

Kindly assist as I need to book tickets today.

What is a flexible time to keep between the two flights? Because the next flight I am getting is 17:55

And after that is 19:50. Both Indigo Air.

Which is better?

When you buy a single ticket then Air India would know that you are planning to connect at Mumbai. You could also checkin for both flights together. Then the only variable would be the incoming flight delay. In this case, if the incoming flight is on time, you would just make it.

Travelling on separate tickets would mean that you miss the flight. The best option would be to book a later flight. Of course that would mean taking the 1950 flight from another terminal, which adds approximately 45 minutes in travel and wait times. But still possible to make this.
