Hi,

One way is to fly from Dubai to Bangkok and take an internal flight to Krabi. From Krabi you'll need to take a ferry to Koh Lanta. Check out to see if there is an alliance between Emirates and Thai Airways, if so you can get your baggage checked straight through since Thai serves Krabi.

Qatar has a service into Phuket but from there it's a longer journey.

I cannot comment how you get from Dubai to Krabi. If you fly with a star alliance member, you can check you luggage through to Krabi. Upon arrival at Krabi airport you best get a taxi to Koh Lanta. It takes about 90 to 120 minutes, depending on how quick the taxi can board the ferries. Cheaper transportation than a taxi is available, but I leave it to others to comment or check this forum with numerous advises.

Fly to Bangkok, then get a flight to Krabi. From there it's about 2hrs by van/taxi transfer - which inc a couple of very short ferry trips. If you're staying at a hotel/resort, ask them for a quote. Alternatively, you could fly to Singapore (which I just did) and then take Tiger Airways to Krabi. The only issue is that Tiger is a budget airline, so you'd have to book it separately and you can't check bags the whole way through.

Enjoy, Ko Lanta is lovely.

Hi,

The via Bangkok route is probably the better option and once you get to Krabi you will have to take the overland option to Koh Lanta as the ferry from Krabi stops running in April. A taxi from the airport is roughly 2500thb and takes 90 minutes or so. Koh Lanta is fairly quiet in June as it's the start of the green season, seas can be rough and there can be rain although often not too much.

Cheers

You can also fly from Dubai to KL and then take Air Asia to Krabi, or fly from Dubai to Singapore and then fly Tiger Airways to Krabi.

From Krabi airport, the private taxi option is by far the best - once you book your resort on Lanta then you can ask them about a private transfer - price should be no more than 2,500 Baht for up to 6 people plus luggage in a private minivan. Journey time approximately 2 hours, maybe a little bit more if there are long queues at the car ferries.

Taxis can also be booked direct at Krabi airport from 2,300 - 2,500 Baht once you land.
