Bar/dance club scene....

I've read some reviews already that there is not an area really to walk around and bar-hop in Arlington? If that is the case is there a reasonable area that has multiple bars and clubs within a good radius? Going with a big group of guys and do not want to drive all over town. Definitely want to go to some nice bars, good company, and maybe a dance club. --- Thanks for any help!

You are correct, there really isn't a nice bar hopping area in Arlington to go out at. I would suggest heading over to Fort Worth in the Sundance Square Area or the Stockyards, but you are looking at a 30 minute or so drive.

Thanks for the info. Yea, i've heard of those spots too but our main thing is to stay in the Arlington area since we're there for some sporting events. And the fact we don't want any us to deal with being the DD so definitely taxi-ing it around town.

Try Black Finn American Saloon in the Arlington Highlands, if you check out their website you will find the nights they have live bands. It's a festive place for the 20-40 crowd on weekends. Also, you might take a look at Fat Daddy's in Mansfield.

Probably going to the Highlands is the best plan (thanks Travelwannabe2)

The bar at the Keg is nice (more upscale), the bar at Hoffbrau might be a good place to begin...TVs, appetizers, then on to Black Finns.

Arlington has yet to develop a downtown atmosphere, but they are working on it, thanks to the new stadium. There is new stuff going in all the time at the Highlands...the bowling place (Splitsvillle) looks like lots of fun. BUT if you don't have a car, you will need to use taxis. Unfortunately, we have no public transportation and the HIghlands is in South Arlington, about 5 miles and 15 stoplights. and 35 cops from where you are staying.
