Moto GP Sepang 2014

Hi All, Myself and the wife are off to watch the upcoming Moto Gp at Sepang and will be travelling by train from KLCC to KL Sentral (approx 20 mins) then from KL Sentral on the express to KLIA (approx 40 mins). There will be a shuttle bus(not sure of frequency or duration of journey at moment) running to the circuit all 3 days, total cost per person per day is 75RM so for 2 days for both of us a total of 300RM. Obviously depending on your budget taxis are avail but our friends paid 400RM per day in March for the F1 meeting. Many thanks to all for your help and suggestions, only 4 weeks to go!

Thanks for the info. We have the same plans to try and avoid the traffic. Good to know that there is transport from the KLIA to the circuit.

My husband and went to Moto GP 5 years ago and we are going back this year (Sunday only). The hotel doorman got us a taxi and when he dropped us at the circuit we asked him to comeback for us not really thinking he would. Low and behold when we went back he was there waiting for us. Cost was about £30 which we thought was pretty reasonable considering the distance.

We have been to the motogp 6 times & F1 twice. We only ever did the bus & train option the first time, as it seems to take so much longer than a taxi. When you find a taxi driver to take you the first day, you just need to arrange what time for him to pick you up & the same for the next day. The taxi drivers wait for you at the petrol station across the road from the circuit. I would personally only use the train & bus option if I wanted to save some money.

Just got back from the Sepang MotoGP - top day. Best seats on the circuit in Grandstand F, Section M, cheap and plentiful food and drinks and no rain. Low points - no marshals in the grandstand so lots of smokers and stairsitters, and horrendous journey home on the RapidKL. Whoever is in charge of traffic control has got it all wrong. All traffic directed into dead end by airport so exactly one hour after boarding we arrived back exactly where we started, just on the other side of the road. Could have been easily avoided by traffic management. So 3.5 hour trip back to KL Sentral......
