Plenty of damage and several deaths. But it is out of the way of Cebu now. It is clearing Palawan in the west as we speak. Safe to come here now, if that's what you're asking.

Hi Chester!

I was in Cebu City last Monday and flew back to Bacolod yesterday at 3pm. It was windy and raining but nothing scary. It wasnt even heavy rain. By 2pm I heard the head of Pag asa in Cebu said that Cebu wont be as affected as many feared.

Flights to Manila went on same as Tacloban, Iloilo-Bacolod. Only Mindanao, Dumaguete and Bohol flights were cancelled.

By Sunday, the typhoon will be in West Philippines sea.

So there should be no effect.
