We will be in Boquete from April 3-10. Easter weekend is part of that week. What should we expect during that weekend?
- Processions. Some towns do them every day of Easter, but I don't know what Boquete does specifically.
- No alcohol on Good Friday. It's supposedly a day to spend in meditation. Some people party hard nevertheless, but it can't be that obvious.
- Saturday after Good Friday is quite a party as the ban on alcohol is lifted and everybody has been looking forward to drinking again.
I've asked a friend from Boquete about more specifics, I'll post here later.
Got a reply from my friend.
There is a big procession on Good Friday. People from out of town come to watch it.
There are also some processions on other days. It seems there's a men's procession on Wednesday and a women's procession on Thursday (these days might be wrong, to be honest, he wasn't too sure about this).
Thanks for the info!
