Hat-making classes in Tokyo or Osaka

Hi, I like to learn hat-making but London is too far and too costly. It seems that Japanese love wearing hats too... Could our Japan experts advise?

I will be in Japan this Oct and then in Dec again. I can manage conversational Japanese as well.

Looking forward to your kind advice.

Best regards,

Victoria

Google translate "hat making classes Tokyo" into Japanese. Cut and paste the result to google search. What you get on the first page of that search are list of such schools. Each result listing has a "translate this page" link.

That would work of course but I was also looking for some sort of recommendation, a school that's established and so on...

I did search for a forum on training and classes in Tokyo but there wasn't any. If this is the wrong forum, would appreciate it very much if you could point me to the right direction.

Thanks for your time

You should reconsider going to London. There is very little chance of finding a short term hat making class that is conducted in English in Tokyo or Osaka. Here is one in Tokyo:

The question is can you make a reservation and follow the instructions in Japanese?

It is Kyoto, but there is such a classroom.

The contact information (e-mail) is written on the lower person.

Kyoto from Osaka is 30 - 60 minutes by train.

I think that his hat resembles Stephen Jones's hat, they seem to know each other (friends?).

If it is a short-term course, there may be a course at the Open College of the Bunka Fashion College.

Ten courses are held in the summer.

It may be held in autumn, so please contact them.

Although it is not a classroom, this is a shop of children and grandchildren of Japan's famous hat designer Hirata Akio.

(Hirata Akio is already dead)

It seems that we are looking for production staff.
