I would like to know what is the reasonable rate for a taxi from the airport to David Livingstone lodge ?
hotel ask for 15 USD PP .
can you recommend a taxi driver ?
It is around 15 to 20 minutes to get from LVI airport to David Livingstone Safari Lodge. I think anywhere in the ballpark of $20 to $30 total is acceptable from the airport. However, if you scroll through the past posts on here, some people have made recommendations for drivers. You may want to email one of them and ask for a price.
thank you for the info .
I paid 50 Zambian Kwacha (about $5.50) for a taxi from Livingstone town to the airport last Friday. That was the charge for the entire taxi, not per person, so $20-$30 sounds quite high. (My hotel picked us up from the airport for free on arrival.)
Good to knowEdited: 08 July 2017, 04:11
I am just back from Livingstone and had a fantastic taxi driver called Simon who I would recommend. Safe driving and friendly. His email is email@example.com. Was so happy to find him as we didn't make any arrangements before we arrived at the airport, he also came and picked us up promptly for the return journey.
what sort of price did you pay for the transfer each way using Simon?
We are staying at the lodge in a couple of weeks and feel $15 per person the hotel quotes is a little too much. Did u get a cheaper option in the end?
I have not heard back from this post so no I still don't know the best way to do it.
If you find someone please let me know the costs, We don't travel until late December, any tips when you return would be great
We used Dennis Munsaka firstname.lastname@example.org . You can email him and ask him his price. We went to the Avani which is much further away from the airport than the town is. His price for the Avani was much lower than the hotel rate. We booked him for the entire time we were in Zambia. He did not disappoint.
