towels?!

Hi

In gocek finally! Planning to go on boat trip, gocek Island and the d resort beach. Do we need to take towels for these places or are they supplied? Problem is we haven't got any with us:-(!

Reluctant to buy any (would just up the cost) and also no room in the case to take them home..

anyone able to advise?

Thank you in advance!

Gocek Island and 12 Island boat trips - defo no towels supplied. Can't tell you about D Resort - but doubt it somehow if not a guest at the hotel.

Why not buy a couple of pestemal - or hamam towels - instead. They are made of cotton and come in nice colours and sometimes striped, and much lighter than a towel to pack to take back with you. You can use them to lie on, to dry yourself, and to wear as a sarong. There's a girl in the village called Sultan - she has a shop along the main street next to the tailors, about half way along and opposite the Grape Vine Wine Bar / Mavi Hotel / back of Blues. She also sells towels. She will have a hammock and linens hung outside her shop.

Attagul - you're a star! Thats a brilliant idea, we'll do that tmrw. Thank you so much for considering this for me!

Weather great. Gocek is quiet this time of year, its a really lovely place!

thanks again for coming to the rescue! Enjoy your evening.

Quick update. We did as you suggested attagul and bought the hammam towels, decent price, light and do the job nicely:-)

D Resort/blue point beach do supply plenty of towels in their 60TRY charge (100TRY at weekends). We had a lovely time their for husbands birthday. Prosseco on beach and fab lunch at breeze.

apologies ingrid, I couldn't even make it down the jetty to see guney 1 on tues evening, nerves took over:-( thanks for your info and helpful support on email.

We did however make it out on serdar ss today (bigger boat)and had an amazing time! 50TRY and the food was great too. Only about 20people so not over crowded.

plan to take new towels to gocek island tmrw... interesting to see how I get on with that water taxi! :-(

Thanks for your time and helpfulness;-)
