The currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira, so use the Official currency. Why use anyting else?

In non tourist area take Lira but if you are going to somewhere like Lara Beach then to save on currency exchange take Euro. I know that this flys in the face of the current accepted practice but things have changed the touristic areas. The reason that things have changes is because shop keepers now price everything in Euro and then convert to YOUR prefered currency where as in the past goods were price in Lira. The only reason tha you would actually need Lira is if your are going to give tips. also if you have any Euro left over then you can easily spend them anywhere.
