I’m coming alanya in September with the wife.

Is it safe to travel there knowing there was a a civil up rising 2years ago?

This what was 2 years ago it wasn't civil uprising, don't worry.

Many foreigners are living here all year round (like me) and we feel safe. Alanya is far away from border with Syria so in here is calm. You can come for your holidays without the fear.

The answer is nowhere is safe. Most accidents happen at home and you are most likely to be killed by someone you know. Therefore the safest strategy is avoid home and people you know :-)

Is it safe to live in Manchester, London, New York etc. etc. etc.. No. It is probably safer to be on holiday in Alanya that to stay in the UK.

Hi I have been traveling to and from mahmutlar Alanya yearly for the past 16 years and have always felt very safe and have always enjoyed my holiday there .Enjoy your holidays.

We travel to Side, usually twice a year & hire a car, so drive all over. There are certain destinations where we wouldn't do this, nor would we hitch a lift....but we did just that, a couple of months after the brief "trouble", after losing our way, walkinh in the Sorgun Forest.
