Quick question, I always change aud$50s at the exchange booth, my mate who's coming with me asked if he can take 100s, anyone ever changed the $100 note at the booths in Patong
Why not....so long as they are real!
Force of habit I suppose
Less bulky Scott....go for it.
That was Als argument
I only take $100 notes with me. No problem changing, just make sure they are in very good condition.
Thanks Allie, been a few times so know about the note restrictions, just never taken 100s will now
No problem ... but according to the Aust Government those using $100's are probably money launderers ... there was some talk about banning them ;-)
No Problem , Als right less bulky. As other have said tho,. make sure they are in good condition
"make sure they are in good condition" That actually applies to all notes, irrespective of denomination. They don't have to be in pristine condition, but not marked or cut.
I remember that jjumpstart. There was talk the the 100's were the note of choice for money launderers so some dopey politician publicly commented about withdrawing them. Overnight, money changers in some countries panicked and wouldn't change them. I think it was mostly India from memory. I think things have settled down now though.
