Travelling to KL in August 2018

First visit to Khao Lak and have just realised it is low season and am worried about restaurant and shop closures! Will there still be plenty to see and visit, wanting to go to restaurants and bars and do shopping whilst there.

Look at this recent thread about July for similar information https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g297…

Most popular restaurants remain open as do the limited number of shops and the local markets. As for tours, the Similan and Surin Islands are closed mid May to mid October because of dangerous conditions at sea but other tours available. You can see some of the popular ones at https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g297…

Khao Lak Mangrove Explorers is regularly recommended - see http://www.khaolakmangroves.com/

Plenty more information on the right in the Top Question FAQs when you view the forum on a PC/laptop/tablet.
