Thurs. nite Ballys July-Where for Fri.?

We live in Florida and are visiting family in NJ in July.

Driving back we want to stop in AC. Haven't gambled in a while so we have very little status.

We can afford Bally's for Thursday night, but Friday night is very expensive.

Do you have any suggestions for a hotel in AC or close by for a Friday in July?

We could, of course, just stay till 6pm or so on Friday and then find something on 95 on the way home.

Help if you can.

You would save money by getting something on 95 . Friday in AC is not cheap as you found out .

Weekends in AC, especially during the Summer months, are expensive as you have found out. What are your specific dates of travel? That can help us run a search and see what is cheaper but not a dump. I would maybe look into the Sheraton in AC. It's walking distance to Bally's & Caesars, and may be a little cheaper for Friday night.

Check out Showboat and Claridge. They are non casino hotels, and so may be a liittle less expensive. Both are on the boardwalk. As noted, the Sheraton is also a good alternative.

If you are already going to be in Bally's try Claridge. At least that way you won't have to move your car!

I ditto what zzyzzx said. Better yet, just stay both nights at Claridge so you dont have to waste time with check out and check in again, its attached to Ballys.

Agreed about Claridge. You'll be able to save even more by staying there both nights and not having to deal with checking out and checking back in or packing up your things. It's connected on the second floor to Bally's and it a really cute historical hotel.

No, unfortunately, Clairidge is more expensive than if I just stayed put at Ballys.

I have some hotels that I picked from Booking.com Do you know anything about any of them?

-Liberty Inn, Galloway

-Ramada AC, Black Horse Pike

-Travelodge, Absecon, E. Absecon Blvd.

-Days Inn Absecon

-Wingate by Windham, Black Horse Pike, AC West

I would not do the Ramada on the Black Horse Pike. Look at the Residence Inn on Fire Road in Egg Harbor Twp or the Days Hotel on Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Twp. Both are in very safe locations and close to AC and the entrances for the Garden State Parkway and AC Expressway.
