How much spending money to take ?

Realise this is quite an open question, and apologies if it has been asked before. My friend and I are off to Dubai beginning of October for 7 nights, staying half board so dinners are taken care of . We plan to pay for trips, most shopping etc and hotel drinks etc with credit cards, but wondered how much spending money to take ? especially in local currency?

Grateful for a steer

Just swap some into dirhams at the airport to get you a taxi to the hotel and pay for tea/coffee etc. Pay for larger purchases on your credit card then you won't have to worry about having enough cash. If you swap between £50-100 this should last you for general bits and bobs.

If you only need money for odds and ends then £200 should see you right for the week.

I would take £200 steling and change £50 at Dubai airport to get you started and then change £50 at a time in an exchange house on Jumeirah Beach Walk or in a mall.

Don't change your money at home as you'll get a better rate in Dubai and the airport exchange is open 24 hours per day.
