Restaurants near Jebal Ali Beach Hotel

I am concerned there are no inexpensive eateries near the Jebal Ali Beach Hotel and we will be locked into eating at their expensive restaurants. We will be staying 5 nights and to save money we always like to eat outside. Are there any near fast food or take out places or any affordable restaurants nearby?

Also how far is it to the shopping areas and do they have shuttles to and from?

Thanks

There is nothing around Jebel Ali beach hotel so I would see if you can upgrade your package to All inclusive or half board.

They do run shuttles to the malls in Dubai but they are busy and sometimes you can get on.

The nearest option for cheaper eating is Dubai Outlet Village at Dubai Parks and Resorts. That is 15 - 20 minutes away by taxi and will cost roughly 40 dirham each way.

Id personally recommend that You upgrade to do all inclusive, it's the best package at this hotel as the restaurants and drinks package is excellent 👌🏽

There are no restaurants or take-always for miles!

The nearest Mall is the Ibn Batuta Mall, which has a number of eateries and coffee shops. The shuttle journey takes approx 25 minutes.

The shuttles leave the hotel for that Mall at 11.25am,14.50pm, 16.05pm and 18.00pm.

The last 2 courtesy shuttles back to the hotel leave from the Egypt Court of the Mall at 10.10pm and 11.10pm.

A taxi back to the hotel from the Ibn Batuta Mall costs approx 48 AED.

You can pick up a full copy of the courtesy coach timetable at Reception when you check into the hotel. They drop off at various places, but the Ibn Batuta Mall is the nearest.

If you have not booked AI, you can upgrade to it when you check in. It is fantastic value for money.

The cheapest ( paying) option at the hotel if you are not doing the AI plan is the Sports Cafe, by the Marina and Club Joumana, and it is open every day from 6am till 11pm, serving breakfast, light bites, pub grub etc.

It has a “ Happy Hour” daily from 5pm to 7 pm, although I’m not sure if that applies just to drinks or whether it includes food also.

I recommend the AI plan. We’ve used it many times, and have another 2 weeks booked for mid-September.

We already have breakfast included. So AI would include lunch and dinner I suppose. Any idea how much to upgrade that?

Al includes all meals and all drinks. There is a small supplement to pay for some of the restaurants but the choices in the buffet restaurant changes every night.

Half board is breakfast and dinner so no lunch or drinks.

The buffet restaurants serve food until 11pm so you can always go out into Dubai and come back later to eat

The hotel or your travel agent are the only folk that can advise on the upgrade cost as it has too many variables so call them to ask.

Finally sorry to disagree with Mondial but Dubai Outlet Village is the nearest mall at around 15 to 20 minutes in the direction of Abu Dhabi with IBN Battuta mall 25 minutes in the opposite direction and on the outskirts of Dubai.

The AI plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as alcohol and soft drinks, and Ice creams/ lollies for children.

Items which are included ( for food and drinks) are indicated on all the menus by a yellow sun 🌞symbol.

Some menu items, “ Chef Specials” , are not included in the AI plan, but AI guest get a 50% discount on them.

You sign for everything, each round of drinks, meals etc, and anything you’ve had which was not on the AI plan is itemised on your bill.... Things like Room Service, MIni Bar, Chef Specials, Shisha, Spa Treatments etc.

AI does entitle you to one use of the Wet Spa Facilites, sauna, steam room, Experience Showers and Jacuzzi, but does not include spa treatments like massage, facials, hairdressing, manicures etc.

AI also gives access to some complimentary non-motorised water sports like kayak, dinghy sailing, and windsurfing, at 30 minutes each per guest.

To enquire how much to upgrade to AI from B& B, please contact the hotel via their website. They are very responsive and helpful.

The mini bar is fairly expensive, and we never use it, but to give you some examples...

Soft drinks 21 AED

Small can of beer 40 AED

Spirits Miniatures 40 to 60 AED

Canned fruit juices 20 AED

I hope this helps,

Your comments are noted, and the fact that you seem to want to quibble about 5 minutes and the direction of travel, but I cited the Ibn Batuta Mall because it’s the nearest food place which the hotel run a free courtesy shuttle to and from.

The hotel don’t run a shuttle to the Outlet Village so any trip there would cost the OP taxi fares each way, whereas they could go to ( and back from ) the Ibn Batuta at no cost by using the hotel service.

I don’t want to quibble I simply wanted to point out that the nearest mall is actually Dubai Outlet Village.

The OP then has a choice of Taxi there or shuttle bus, if they can get on one, to IBN Battuta or they can pay to upgrade.
