Does Dubai offer tax refunds on Goods purchased in Dubai like jewellery, if so how does it work,
Thank You in advance
Not that I'm aware of .... I've never bothered to check though.
You haggle in the jewellery stores in any event and the final price you pay will depend on that.
Bearing in mind that you are supposed to declare (coughs politely !) any items purchased with a value in total of over £350 at UK customs when you head back to the UK from anywhere outside the UK
.............. that's why there is always such a big queue for the red channel - NOT !
No tax, thus no refund.
I wasn't aware of that thank you that's helpful
Do your research before buying anything - UK is normally cheaper. Especially true with the current exchange rates..
5% VAT will be applied in UAR, as of Jan 1st, 2018. It is not anticipated that the VAT refund will be availed on the initial phase. Probably in a later stage by end of 2018 or so..Edited: 12 December 2017, 23:39
The country will have its first experience on VAT from next month. Unlikely there would be scope for refund in the early days at least.

Loombaraj in post #8.
The previous replies to the forum topic say that there is no mechanism for refunds of taxes paid on purchases made in the UAE.
Please consider removing your post, because it is extremely foolish to put your email address in a worldwide public forum.
