Hi Andy,

Ive been to Riadh Palms twice and I go out again in 2 weeks.

Read the reviews by all means ,but holidays mean different things to different people.

Yes there are paying bars, for guests who want to buy "branded" drinks and also visitors to the hotel.

As for the reviews,Ive been all over Europe, but Tunisian hotels are different, they don't offersome of the "luxuries" that some hotels offer, they have their own way of doing things.

What they do have is bags of friendliness, and will bend over backwards to help and serve you.

As I said earlier ,it depends on what you are looking for .

Pat

andybelf.

First you have to take some reviews with a pinch of salt.

Every hotel gets good and bad reviews.

Just remember why you chose it in the beginning.

It is normal in AI hotels to have a pay bar.

This sometimes is for after the AI times as stated in the brochure/web booking.

Also some hotels run HB and AI.

Most likely it is for international spirits etc which are expensive to buy.

Locally produced alcoholic drinks are included in AI hotels.

If you are travelling with Thomas Cook you would be charged £50 to amend the booking to another hotel on the same date and flight.

Plus the difference in price to another hotel.

Probably end up far more than you would spend at a 'pay' bar.

Best Wishes Amethyst
