I have a passion to see sloths but no mad desire to hold them. Whilst in Iquitos what is the chance that I will see a couple?
Pilpintuwasi (The Butterfly Farm and animal rescue) has some rescued Sloths in captivity. I'd be wary of other lodges or sanctuaries that have sloths for ethical reasons, as many seem to not be reputable.
For sloths in the wild, I think you'll need to book a lodge or a tour well outside of Iquitos.
Many thanks. I have read up on the farm and it would ticket all the boxes.
There are other "zoos" that you can visit in order to see the sloths close up. You can ask your guide about the best one to visit. You probably won't see one in the wild.
