Bartolome, Sante Fe or South Plaza Day Trip?

We are visiting in the beginning of July and are trying to decide between Bartolome, Santa Fe, or South Plaza for a day trip from Santa Cruz.

For another day trip we will be heading to North Seymour, what do people recommend for our second?

We are doing a land trip in Santa Cruz and Isabella if that helps guide a recommendation.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Ryan,

following a shark incident at Santa Fe a few months ago, you can't swim there anymore. The only one of these sites where swimming / snorkeling is now allowed is at Bartolome. Underwater Galapagos is just as, if not more amazing that what you see on land.

Landing and snorkeling trips to Santa Fe ARE operating normally.

For snorkeling trips, instead of visiting Santa Fe Bay where the attack happened, boats are visiting two different sites.

If you're planning on going to the Tunnels in Isabela, then you could skip Santa Fe and go to Bartolome.

Well, as long as that shark with a taste for toes stays where it was - then snorkeling at Santa Fe should be no problems.. ;-) Thanks Galapaguito.

I would agree on Bartolome....it has a nice viewpoint and snorkeling can be nice. Although if you are a true wildlife addict it is probably the least interesting for that.
