Chile customs, can I bring coffee?

I am in Brazil at present, I would like to buy coffee to take back home. I will travel to CHile as my last stop on this trip, I have read that certain food products are not allowed into Chile. I am very confused as to what is and what isnt allowed. Is coffee allowed throught customs in Santiago airport?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't forget you must check "YES" on your form for food/organic items. The customs and agro people may ask what you have and you just tell them and you should be on your way quickly.

No idea about the sea shells, #6. Definitely declare them if you do bring them in.

#7, your question would be better asked at a Chilean consulate in India. The Aduana (customs) website has extensive information on what you can bring in and how much as business samples. However, it is in Spanish so it might be impossible to find what you want.

Travelled to Chile in May 2013 and took the seashells. Declared them at customs, where they inspected the shells (taken as gifts) in my bag and they allowed them to pass through. Always pays to be honest!!
