Is Pucon or Bariloche effected by the volcano

Hi

I'm travelling in Chile at the moment and heading to Pucon later this week. Is this area still being effected by the volcano?

I'm heading towards Ushuaia and wondering if I should avoid this area and head down the altantic coast.

Thanks

Pucón was never affected by the ash. Most of it fell on Argentina. In Bariloche the airport is still closed in everything but name and will officially close Oct 20 to Dec 20 for repairs. The city has some visible ash around on the ground and you can feel it and see it in the air when it is windy. It does not affect most activities in the area.

If you are planning to travel by bus, you should be able to go where planned. What will be very uncertain is flights in Argentina. So you would have to work out getting to Ushuaia by land.
