Is Pucon a good area to see foliage colors in the fall? If so, when would fall be in this area? I was told me late March could be too late and too cold. Is that so?
The best views require hiking or trekking.
You don't need to go that far South either. The Altos de Lircay reserve near Talca, for instance.
I agree that April is a better month to see autumn colours. You might see some in late March but it depends on what the weather does this year and that is unpredictable.
Thank you all! I can plan my trip either month.
Unfortunately, I can't do much hiking or trekking on hills, so I'll have to figure out a location where is accessible by car or I can walk on a more or less flat terrain.
Going to research next Parque Nacional Conguillío. I saw some fantastic fall views on a picture that Descubriendo Chile posted on its FB page.
