The Ritz Carlton, Fullerton Bay and Shagrilla would make great hotels for a honeymoon or a couple looking for a bit of luxuary and something more than a bed for the night,

There are lots of lovely hotels in many areas of the city with good transport links, so it really depends on the style of hotel you like and your budget. If you want some specific recommendations then have a look on a currency converter website and convert your currency into Singapore Dollars SGD$ to give us a figure per room per night.

Then we can suggest several hotels.

Singapore has an efficient transport system that connects a large part of the island so it is your room budget that will determine where you can stay.

Hi my budget is 50-60 SGD or below 50. priority is place which is accessible via local transport because mainly I will be roaming around whole day. Hotel/apartment is just for night stay.

You won't get any hotels at 50-60SGD/night. You will have to look at the hostels or backpackers lodges in this price range.

Sorry, with the mentioned budget the married couple have to look in the hostel directory rather than hotels. To get a decent hotel in Singapore you have to allocate 150-170 SGD per room per night...

Pls be informed that rental of private residential apartment for under 3 months is illegal so your only legal options are hostels, hotels and serviced apartments. You need to increase your budget by at least S$10-30 as hotels are subject to 17.7% tax and GST.

Hotels in Geylang area, part of which is a red light district (it is still safe and is a popular food haunt but just informing you in case you or your wife minds), very poorly rated hotels in Little India (which I'm not listing here) or hotels in less central locations (Joo Chiat, Paya Lebar, Balestier) are the ones closest to your budget. Expect rooms to be small (11-13 sqm so probably no wardrobe or room to open your luggage) with no windows.

Fragrance Joo Chiat

Hotel 81 Tristar (has a pool)

Golden Royal (Little India)

Hotel 81 Dickson (Little India)

Depending on your dates, Fragrance Bugis and Hotel 81 Bugis (which has more central locations) may be around the same price range.

In Geylang outside the red light district, you can consider Fragrance Emerald and Bright Star Hotel. Within the red light district, Fragrance Sapphire and Fragrance Ruby.
