Currency to carry

First of all thank you all the members in this forum who helped me to plan my itinerary, helped me in selecting the hotels for my Singapore trip in last week if may.

Now I need guidance on how much local currency and how much forex card should I carry. Proportion between these two options.

This is a personal decision as we won't know what you will be spending on.

Typically we suggest $100/day /person as the average expenditiure. However, how much this should be split between cash and credit card depends on where you are spending your money. For example, if you eat at food courts, hawker centres, then these places typically only accept cash. Taking public transport like buses and mrts will require cash to top up the ezlink cards.

Besides cash, you can top up Ezlink cards with Mastercard/Visa/JCB credit cards.

You can order your EzLink cards in advance here and collect them from the ChangiRecommends counter at the Arrival Hall. …changirecommends.com/singapore/…ez-link-card

Each of you needs one card including your son.
