Traditional ryokans in Kyoto where you sleep on the floor

My husband & I are travelling to japan in September, we are looking for a traditional experience staying in a ryokan in Kyoto where you sleep on the floor. Any recommendations

Go to the top of this page and click on Hotels. Then, enter Kyoto as the city and your dates. In the list on the left (under "Style") you can filter by ryokan. Many choices with reviews. By the way, sleeping on the floor is normal at all ryokan.

Otherwise, somewhere like Watazen could be nice.

The famed Tawaraya, Sumiya, and Hiiragiya are $$$$ and ranks higher (and might not be for first timers).
