Low Sodium in Japan

Can anyone suggest low sodium options, or organic restaurants we can eat at during our stay in Japan? My husband has an ear disease that is controlled by a super low sodium diet. Any tips you can share? We'll be staying in the Shimokitazawa area. Thank you!

I’d just stay away from high sodium stuff? Soup, for example? Sauces? I can only do miso on occasion, same with ramen. I don’t use soy at all.

I think that’s one health issue that’s easier to deal with in Japan, actually. It depends rather on which Japanese foods you like- I don’t eat a lot of the very salty stuff. This thread gives you an idea:
