Which low-cost airlines would you recommend?

Looking at a myriad of flights from Jakarta to Singapore.

Are there any airlines that stand out for consistent safety, on-time arrival and no hassle baggage charges?

Which ones would you recommend and why?

Flights are less expensive the sooner you book, in general. Garuda is the best full service airline as it's the Indonesian national carrier, but is more expensive of course. I usually fly either Garuda if I get a good fare or Air Asia. Air Asia is fine but I always choose to fly Premium Flex as it comes with 20 kilos luggage and priority boarding and check in and seat selection included.

Low cost I usually use Airasia. But compare the prices against Garuda and KLM and don't forget to include all the add-ons that Airasia will charge you for.

I've flown extensively throughout South East Asia with Air Asia and can highly recommend them. Premium Flexis a little more expensive, but worth it for the luggage allowance and that bit of extra leg room.

Bryan H, hi

I would Certainly recommend to look at the full service carriers, not LCC, as on the short route sin-dps cgk the prices will be somewhat similar, but full service àirline fare includes meals, luggage etc.

Booking in advance is highly recommended too.
