Hi How rainy is the weather in Bali in December?
Is it too rainy to do anything or is it still enjoyable?
Please read other posts this question is asked all the time
take or buy and umbrella, too hot for raincoats.
Wear waterproof shoes or thongs.
It often storms at night.
When it does rain it can be that heavy that within half an hour you are walking knee deep. But that is rare.
It usually rains enough to keep you in a shop browsing for a while but not constant all day.
The only thing it would put a dampner on is sunbathing.....it's still hot though so you can swim.
The humidity is more of a bother than the rain.
Do regular travellers to Bali avoid Dec/Jan because of the rain?
I wouldnt go then if I didnt have to because I cant stand the humidity.
But my husbands work closes over christmas so alot of the time, thats when we go.
Having said that, I dont think I would ever pass up an opportunity to go to Bali.
Thank you PLTT..I am in the same boat as my work also closes during December.
One of my favorite blogs is named camilles weather blog,He is a dive instructor on Ko Samui, who posts day to day weather updates and photos of ko Samui and other really interesting aspects of his life and work.

We are going over in Dec/ Jan and my partner is hoping it is overcast and even drizzly all day everyday as he burns really easily- really quickly... so at least if it's overcast- he will be able to swim and enjoy the outdoors without being so much of a scorched lobster! haha... he'll kill me for saying that!! lol...
We live in Nth Qld so am used to the humidty and late afternoon, torrential down pours- but hey- good excuse to take up a seat in a bar with a nice cold drink and watch the world pass you by for a few hours.
enjoy your trip and roll with the punches.. so to speak... bit of rain could be fun?
