Money changer

I am going to Bali next month I am just wondering if anyone knows good/reliable money changers in Seminyak or Ubud? I can’t seem to find any recent posts

Also, will be exchanging euro so does anyone know which notes will be best to bring ? €50 or €100?

If there is already some good replies to this questions please feel free to post link please

It depends, of course, where your accommodation is located. In Seminyak we use the money changer in Seminyak Square. Also a money changer in glass booth opposite BIMC medical (Jl. Kayu Aya - "Eat Street"). Never a problem.

In Ubud we use the money changer in the shop on the adjacent corner to the oval on Monkey Forest Rd. Also one on Jl. Raya Ubud near Jl. Hanoman (up some stairs to a glassed office). Never a problem.

There is a Central Kuta Money Exchange branch on Jalan Raya Ubud. This is one of the reputable money changers in Bali.

Check for branches along the bottom of the page, I always use the Ubud Pusat branch, but others in Monkey Forest Road.

I used these guys just last week http://www.balibestrate.com/ on Legian street kuta the branch near the memorial as I am a regular to Bali and was a bit complacent I changed $300 aud the guy counted out the money in front of me but I was daydreaming a bit he gave me 3.07m Rp instead of 3.17m Rp it was only $10 but the point is you have always got to be on your guard . The money was put in an envelope and I recounted in my hotel room I had a feeling something wasnt right when i left the money changer. I threw away my reciept I should have gone back but didnt I will stick to BMC from now on.

On another note I used my Ubank debit card at a random ATM and withdrew 2m RP with all fees I got an exchange rate of 10400 RP per AUD the best rate on the same day at BMC was 10300 so will be using my card a lot more.

joca, if you were supposed to get 3.17million for $aud300, that would have been a rate of 10567 per $AUD1. The rate last week was not that high. It was 10425 at best, mostly lower.

That sounds more reasonable cbi, I remember there was a big dip for a while below 10300

Yes Bag - and we had to get 44 million last week, so I was watching very closely to pick my time.
