where can i get good exchange currency?

hi i plan on bring CAD bills with me to exchange kyat. Is this a good idea? Im not even sure if Myanmar will take CAD as all i have heard is USD.

Is the airport a good place to swap for Kyat or willi be losing out to the currency rate?

I'm thinking of averaging $50CAD a day hoping i can scrape by with this budget.

Do not take CAD

Buy US$ before you leave and change them for kyat at Arrivals.

CAD $50 a day could be a bit tight-perhaps have a reserve Card to use at ATM ?

Not a good idea to take CAD, get US$s instead. Then change at Yangon airport if you are arriving there. Yes airports are fine to change, larger notes get better rates of exchange, make sure they are in good condition, no tears, no writing, no bad creases, no marks. CAD50 maybe enough if you get cheap rooms and use public transport but it is tight, that's about US$39 per day. Watch out for fees at Bagan, Inle and some temples do add up. I would bring $200 extra in reserve and some cards.

They don’t accept £s either, only in a few odd places. Us$ and Euros are the main currencies. Thai baht and sing. $ can be changed at some banks. So don’t feel hard done by. No doubt you can get us$ for little loss.
