Hi Maree

There's 2 posts on here already, one titled "leaving Thursday" and on titled Earthquake 7.5mw

I heard from someone there last night and they are ok, but biggest they've felt in 10 yrs living there.

So pleased they are safe.

It's more aftershocks, which usually happens. Been through a 6.0 magnitude there myself a few years back.

On news in Brisbane tonight showing the cleaning up in shops etc over there.

Here's the link to the site I have looked at when I have returned to Vanuatu after experiencing the 6.0 tremor as I don't like them...to put it mildly.

Gotta love the place!

Cyclones, earthquakes and tsunames, yet voted as the "Happiest Country in the world"

Yep, after all that we export happiness!

Must be nature's regular reminder that life is short and should be enjoyed.

When operating a resort in Tanna, we experienced the second biggest earthquake (after this latest one) of my life in Vanuatu, and my pride & joy, a exquiste range of around 30 bottles of wines was shaken loose, all crashed on the tile floor...it's the first time my wife saw me cry...a river of wine flowing out the door.

Sounds like the scene at ABM No.2 about 5pm Tuesday - wine everywhere!

Yes it's old news now.

The biggest one we've experienced so far was a 6.9.

Wonder what it was like on the top floor of The Grand?
