We traveled to Vietnam to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday in February / March 2013

A friend of mine married a Vietnamese Lass 30 years ago they live in Sydney and have been traveling back to Vietnam to visit relatives for many years.

They have established sound relations with reliable travel agents over the years

We sought their advice regarding where to go, what to see, and where to stay, and which travel agent to use. They recommended Asia Pacific Travel which was sound advice

Good Accommodation can be found in Vietnam from around $25 per night- upwards, one has to decide what ones budget allows and the comfort & facilities you what at the end of a days sightseeing

We chose 4 & 5 Star Hotels to celebrate the occasion

Asia Pacific Travel managed those accommodation negotiations with the various hotel groups and arranged tours to Sapa and trip to Ha Long Bay on a Huong Hai Junk for 3 days. both of which we recommend. All their tour guides had excellent local knowledge and spoke good english

We stayed at the Silk Path In Hanoi, Victoria Hotels in Sapa, Hoi An, and Can Tho, and finally the Legend in Ho Chi Min which was probably the most luxurious but least personal in our experience

We found the level of service and hospitality through Vietnam very impressive

The service we received from Asia Pacific Travel staff personal reliable and most professional

We are very confident in recommending their service as are our long time Vietnamese friends

Vietnam is a beautiful country you should put on your "bucket list" if you haven't been there

The usual warnings apply here.

Beware of single or very low count posters who speak about one company in excessively glowing terms. Things may not be what they seem.

They've had a decent reputation for a good few years now. I arranged a customised trip (not a tour) earlier this month, involving flights, train tickets, car & driver, accommodation, through the Hang Than office in Hanoi, who were pleasant, patient and competent, and it all worked out fine. Not the cheapest probably but when the components are so reasonable I don't resent their cut at all.

For hotels you should book via Agoda.com by yourself is much better and secured.

I've picked up Asia Pacific by chance for April 2013 trip by chance via google. Originally, I was searching for Viet Sinhcafe agency as I've good experience with them in 2012 for open tours. A URL link indicated Sinhcafe but when I reached SGN, the agency is actually Asia Pacific- Is alright & does not matter if all goes smoothly. Actually, I prefer to roam around SGN myself since I've been there 4-5 times but because for this coming trip, I've in total 14 people (they are all badminton friends with some 2-3 elderly.) To add on, the hot weather is another factor for looking for an agency to move around.

Mr Lee was in charge of communication. He provided prompt reply with reasonable rate. Provided his mobile for emergency contact. Throughout the corresponding, I find him reliable & responsible. Thus, I've proceeded to book the following:-

airport transfers USD42 x 2 ways (mini bus 24 seaters)

1 day private open tour to Cu Chi tunnel + 1/2 day city tour, USD35/ person inclusive Chinese speaking tour guide & 1 lunch in an authentic vietnamese restaurant.

1 day disposable chauffeured driven at USD85 for 8 hours.(24 seaters)

nite river cruise with dinner USD17/ person (inclusive of return transfers to pier)

In person, Mr Lee is soft spoken, well mannered, honest. No pretence in his expression. I must also compliment his driver, though, he don't speak English or Chinese, but he is equally soft spoken & reliable. He is never late to pick us up & we have no problem with our planned itinerary- he knew exactly where to bring us around. Thanks to Mr Lee again for good internal communication.

Hope this review will help those who are interested to plan a guided tour in Vietnam :) Good trip!

I have just completed 10 days in Vietnam in 3 different locations - HCM city, Hoi An and Hanoi. Asia Pacific looked after us on all 3 locations with driver + tour guide. All 3 guides were excellent - knowledgable, caring and punctual. I highly recommend these guys. There office staff (we dealt with Mrs Chi) are excellent and very responsive to your needs and wishes. You won't be disappointed.

Hi there,

You should chose a hotel by yourself first, Then you can send your request to the hotel they will give you the full information about tours in Vietnam and they now all reliable travel agent.

Sometimes the Travel agent always give you higher price even for early bookings.

Hope you will have a good trip in Vietnam.
