Information to file Evisa with Vietnam embassy

Hello everyone-

This if for those looking to apply for an evisa to vietnam from the US with the Vietnam embassy with US.

It was simple and quick to my surprise.

Go to this website - vietnamembassy-usa.org/consular/visa-applica…

I text messaged a 202 number and was communicating with the individual after submitting my application online.

I tried calling the embassy a few times and found they don't communicate well via phone. Text message seems to be the best way.

Received an email that says, -

(sample partial email rcvd)

Hello,

Thank you for writing to the Embassy of Vietnam in Washington DC.

First of all, strongly recommends you to have the visa before you depart for Vietnam.

I. Total visa fee (no other fee will be required upon arrival):

A. 01 month, single entry: $80 per person

B. 01 month, multiple entries: $135 per person

C. 03 months, single entry: $110 per person

D. 03 months, multiple entries: $160 per person

E. 6 months, multiple entries (available for US passport holders only): $170 per person

E. 1 year multiple entry visa (available US passport holders only): $190 per person

etc......

Then waited 1 day and received an email of my confirmation that my visa was processed along with a confirmation number and provided a number I can only text to if I needed support. Paypal them the funds.

They were fast and efficient.

- Address: 1233 20th Street NW, Suite 400, Washington D.C., 20036.

Received my visa fedex overnight within that week.

There's another fraudulent website with similar logos and such. Please be careful which website you're submitting your application too. All contact information should be on the website and location address as well provided above.

I'm heading to Vietnam late May and will respond to confirm once everything works out.

It was a confusing for me so, I wanted to share this with everyone and hope this helps.

"It was a confusing for me so, I wanted to share..."

Yes, it can confusing, but that's partly because people keep putting out incorrect information.

And for the record, you didn't get an e-visa.

You got a visa from the Embassy.

Thank you for that correction Scott. Thought Evisa means to file for electronic visa.

E-visa is one of three ways you can get a visa, and they are -

1. through the Embassy, which is what you did.

2. using the e-visa site which is in the pinned post at the top of the page, and

3. using VOA. (visa on arrival) Information on VOA can also be found at the top of the page.
