Recommendation for a place to stay on Ko Samui

Can anyone please recommend a resort to stay on Koh Samui with 3 adults and a one year old? We would like a 4-5 star resort with clear water and family friendly. Thanks!

You will need to give a budget in Thai baht per night for people to be able to help you.

IMO you need to do some "fact finding" yourself & use

this forum to answer any "further" questions.

TA lists 316 hotels in Ko Samui

Have a look at wikivoyage for some "ideas" concerning

locations.

Hi

What time of year you are staying is totally critical as well to suggesting. So, rather than just listing possible hotels that might fit the bill for you, it’s actually easier if you do some research and test bookings against these links as these include just about all the well-known big or smaller booking sites. You can see what fits your budget, style and requirements, draw up a shortlist for comments; which always gets a better response. TA offer a hotel comparison on prices now via, Hotels -> https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g293918… where you can read reviews of other travellers as well as do comparison bookings like https://www.hotelscombined.com/ , http://www.trivago.co.uk/ or https://www.skyscanner.net/hotels and http://www.trivago.com/ . I also like to contact the hotels directly as they often offer a better deal than the booking sites!

We stayed 1 week at a place this summer that would fit your description, Chaweng Regent Beach Resort. It is very quiet and family friendly even though its located on the main strip of Chaweng. Two pool areas including children pools and the beach is kind of a lagune with a stone formation about 100 metres out that secludes it from the sea. Not that good for swimming, but good for wading with your child. We were there with a 7 yr old and he loved it.

If you want to check out the area around (not the hotel itself) and some sights om Samui you can watch my video from the trip:“KO SAMUI – The Essential – Beach, Food, Sights, Nightlife”: https://youtu.be/xS90uPMHo3M

Timing of visit, will have a lot of bearing as to clear waters and prices. Around Chrystal Bay may suite, it's down toward Lamai. depending on time of visit... Ban Tai beach on north end is maybe an option, quiet but nice beach. (Limited night life on both beach areas).

Currently cloudy and rainy weather, but next week could be nice again, November and December, avoid as Monsoon season.

As for hotels check hotels on Trip advisor. Prices for some resorts will jump up during high season, Christmas to end of March or so.
