Taking a tram/bus

Hi

Do we pay on the tram or bus, or do we have to buy tickets somewhere else?

Hi,

I'm not seeing any evidence of free/discounted public transport tickets/passes for EU residents who are disabled: bkk.hu/apps/…helyi_kedvezmenyek_en.pdf

Perhaps there's something deeper within BKK's website but I'm not seeing anything in Hungarian or English.

Here's a thread regarding this from a couple years back regarding this issue where someone contacted BKK customer service: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g274…

We will be arriving tomorrow week at about 1900h. We intend to buy a 3 day ticket on Saturday morning. We will need to buy 2 single tickets for the Friday evening. Can we buy these at the one machine and how much is a single ticket.

Yes, you can get them at the same machine. The 3 day ticket doesn't start to run until you validate it on board on your first trip.

The 3 day ticket runs from when you tell the ticket machine you want it to run. You do not validate it.

Individual tickets cost 300fts (or 450 from the driver), they can be bought in blocks of 10 or individually.

The 3 day ticket is actually a 72 hour pass.

Thanks for that. So I will only have to get the 72 hour pass.
