Travel with potential medical issues

We are a group of six women in our sixties who are planning to visit San Juan, Puerto Rico (Isla Verde) in February, 2018. Two of us live with the constant possibility of needing hospital care if we become ill.

What shape are the San Juan hospitals in post hurricane? Would it be best to forego our trip knowing that we may need medical assistance from a hospital while in San Juan in February?

Hospitals are up and running already. Close to Isla Verde you'll find Ashfort Hospital and Pavia Hospital

This depends on what level of care you will need.

As of now, the bigger hospitals in SJ are operational, but not all services are available. In Feb, we expect all services will be restored. But again, it depends on what services you need.
