Have been browsing accommodation for a family friendly beachfront resort in Palm Cove or Trinity Beach.

Sea Change in Trinity Beach looks good but would appreciate any other thoughts.

Palm Cove is much nicer and more developed than Trinity Beach, lots of restaurants and cafes with waterfront views.

Depending on your travel plans, I'd do some research on Port Douglas as well and see if that is something you are looking for, its beautiful with reefs just off the beaches and a really coastal vibe.

Had a lovely stay at Sea Change, Trinity Beach in April directly across the street from the beach. Apartment was huge, spacious and very well maintained, good quality furnishings, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and the biggest collection of kitchen appliances I have ever seen in a rental. Everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday- electric frypan, slow cooker, espresso machine, juicer, blender, large pots and pans big enough to cook a big family meal, lots of saucepans, frypans, casserole dishes, crockery and cutlery, it was wonderful.

I found Trinity Beach more nicer than Palm Cove, lovely and quiet and relaxed with restaurants and cafes, supermarket, chemist, medical centre etc within walking distance but without the hustle and bustle of Palm Cove. And an easy drive to larger supermarket and Cairns.

The only downside was that the spa was working only intermittently, management had a mechanic in while we were there to fix the problem but hadn't resolved it by the time we left.

Erich was most helpful with our booking and we found it a very pleasant place to stay and relax and watch the sunrise from our balcony.

I have stayed at sea change, yes the apartments are huge and well appointed. You can also have barbecues in the grounds. Trinity Beach is lovely and you can always drive to another beach for a days outing.

If you want absolute beachfront have a look at Kewarra Beach Resort. Although this is probably more on the romantic side than family
