Its approx 3.5 - 4hrs drive from Perth to Yallingup.

There are few options available for accommodation depending on your budget.

The Yallingup Caravan Park has fab cabins available overlooking the sea. For something a little up market Seashells Caves Hotel is a short walk to the beach.

WA sunsets are always beautiful.

You can generally reach Yallingup in about three hours from Perth, but it really depends on the stops you make along the way.

There are several accommodation options tucked in and around Yallingup, more than are immediately obvious as you drive into town. We enjoyed our stay at Windance Cottages.

You'll find lots of accommodation listed here:

Any sunset in the West is a must see. Down South can be disconcerting, especially in places like Dunsborough where the sun appears to set behind you. Check out a map - you'll see why.

Best location IMO is Cape Leeuwin as often you'll get the eastern sky changing colour at sunset too. This location offers a 360deg option (270deg over ocean)

I also agree Western Australia has awesome sunsets. We enjoyed staying at Bunker bay at Quay West Resort.

also have a look on www.wotif.com.au under Yallingup or Margaret River.
