Hi Eve,

Pacific Plaza is an older style building on the beachfront at the northern end of Surfers Paradise.

Look, it would be fine for a stay, not luxurious, but basic 3 star. Personally, I think its a bit far out of town for you with 3 kids.

I would be more inclined to check out the prices of :

Artique Resort

Viscount Towers

Mantra Wings

The Breakers

Chateau Beachside

Spectrum

High Surf

Hi Eve,

La Grande is a great spot to stay but there is a large construction about to start next door. Could be at anytime....

In the same area is the Talisman Apartments. Right across from the beach, good pool, spa, tennis court.

Its in you your price range. Its a bit older but clean, tidy and friendly.

Have a great time.

Hi,

Is Chevron Towers the same as Chevron Renaissance? stayz.com.au quoted A$160/nite for Chevron Towers, found it quiet reasonable for a family of 2A 3C. Any comments??

The Natural Arch is a real beauty. Not much walking involved to get there as well.

Just an FYI - there is another Glow Worm Cave near Mt Tambourine that advertises. I paid $10 for the Glow Worm Cave tour there and thought it was expensive for what it was. It is a man-made structure where glow worms were brought in.

If you prefer to see them in their natural habitat, stick with the Natural Arch (although I've never been there at night, so can't verify if they're there!).

The building is called:

The Towers Of Chevron Renaissance.

Seems to get called a combination of all those words and even TA has 2 listings of the same hotel. 1 is Chevron Renaissance and the other is Towers of Chevron or something. I've told them about it but no change.

I would have to look at the specifc building you have been quoted on to give you 100% on that. Perhaps give me the link.

With stayz.com you are booking direct with a private owner. That is why it can be cheaper.

Be aware that the Hilton Hotel is currently being constructed in Surfers Paradise and it is directly in Front of the Chevron and Circle on Cavill buildings. Noise during the day is quite probable.

Having said that, $160 per night for a 2 bedder is good value.

Interesting.

They say they have 27 apartments to choose from. If you do go this way - make sure you request a high floor.

Have fun.

Ashmore Palms Holiday Villa has very good review and a special rate for 5 nites @ Palm Cottage costs $575 for my family. Is this location convenient to travel if I'm not driving?

- Mount Tamborine

- Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary;
