From Surfers Paradise To Moreton Island

Hi,

I and my wife will be travelling to GC(Aug) and stay in Surfers Paradise most of the time.

In our planned itinerary, we wish to do day trip to Moreton Island departing from Surfers Paradise.

Can someone advise is it worth to drive by our own or should engage public transport? It is not fixed and any recommendation is most welcome. Besides, it is doable to drive from Surfers Paradise for a day trip to Tamborine or Springbook? The rest of time, we wish to stay in GC activities including whale watching.

Thank you in advance

A day trip to Tamborine or Springbrook is very easy to do from the GC.

Unless you are experienced at driving in sand, you can not drive yourself to Moreton Island - you need to take the passenger ferry over or take a ferry.

There are a lot of tours to choose from - you need to decide which appeals to you.

cheers.

You will get different mode of transportation in Surfers Paradise, public and private transport both. My suggestion is to book private cab because it saves your time and can enjoy your journey with wife. There is a lots of Surfers Paradise private cab services provider here at affordable cost. You will book cab according to your needs and comforts.
