How to get from the airport to the bridge climb

Hi,

Heading to Sydney for the day tomorrow to do the bridge climb, just wondering what would be the cheapest/quickest way to get from the airport to Cumberland St? There are three of us so I'm thinking a taxi rather than a train or bus?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

You can take a train from the airport to Circular Quay. It takes 22 minutes and a day return ticket is either $25 or $23 (off peak). A cab will cost about $50ish - depending on traffic.

Again, depending on time of day and traffic, the train could be quicker.

From CQ railway station just head away from the Opera House.

When you get to George St turn right and walk toward the Bridge. At Argyle St turn left and continue to Cumberland St. The whole walk should take no more than 10 minutes.

Fingers crossed the rain stops!!

a taxi will be roughly the same cost as the train, so go for the taxi as its more convenient

Thanks everyone.

Our climb is at 10:15am, so I do hope the weather will be okay. If not, can't do much about it so will just enjoy the experience - rain and all! :)

Cheers

it takes about 8 mins to walk from CQ station up to Cumberland St and that's knowing the back stairs etc. it's often very slow getting out of CQ station around 9am weekdays due to office workers etc.

I'd definitely taxi there at the very least. 3 of you it's a better option. Then you can walk thru the rocks at leisure afterwards and catch the train back
