Cheap Overnight Parking in Sydney CBD

We'll be driving from Melbourne to Sydney next week for a holiday. We need a reasonable and secure car park in the city (or maybe outskirts) as we're staying for 6 nights. We probably won't use the car for the 6 days as the hotel (Meriton Kent St) is in the city centre and we'll be travelling by foot or public transport. Is 815 George St, Haymarket (Wilson Parking) secure? They charge $15 flat rate for the whole day. How about Citigate Central Sydney which charges $22/day? Would really appreciate your advice.

Thanks.

Wilson Parking Stations are all good secure parking stations. $15 all day - sounds cheap ?

Check to see if the rate also includes overnight...on the webpage its states exit 7pm. I would ring them and confirm a parking spot for your whole 6 days.

At $35 per night the car parking rate at the Meriton is very rude. Have you tried to negotiate a better rate with them given your 6 day stay?

Just had another thought...

there is free overnight street parking near the meriton after about 6pm until about 8am...if you want to get up early and move into a day space..usually places like wilson are not overnight...

There is free street parking not too far from the city if you are keen to save money. Try the north side (eg Mosman or Woolwich, where you can catch a ferry back into town).

Thanks for all your feedback. I've checked with Wilson Parking at 815 George St, Haymarket. They replied me via e-mail that it's indeed $15 flat rate. I wonder if the parking is secure though. Has anyone used the parking at 815 George St? Would love to hear your feedback.
