Advice Please: Currently, our 20-yr old son is touring South Australia and currently in Perth. (His ride-share situation went sour midway through trip and so he opted out at Perth). Originally, Darwin was the next stop. Now, plans are needing to be recalibrated. He's got 14 more days of travel before needing to fly out of SYD on 29/5/18. He can fly from Perth to Darwin, but not sure
what budget-friendly transportation options are available. Sounds like Darwin might not have public transportation options to the local sights. Given time, budget and transportation limitations, would you advise him to skip heading to the North and focus on South Australia? This is his first trip to AUS. His prior two weeks of this trip have been spent touring coastal cities (including SYD, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Esperance). He was hoping to see some of the incredible sights in the North (Kakadu Nat'l, Cairns, etc.), but unsure of what is realistic. Recommendations?
He's mature for his age and on a limited budget, craves the outdoors, Aussie history, novel experiences, etc. Wants to make the most of his remaining time in thisamazing country!
Advice ASAP is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
