Traveling through Adare on way to Killarney

We will be traveling through Adare on the way to Killarney, and have heard that Adare is most picturesque. We would like to walk up and down a few streets and take pictures of the area. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which streets are the most scenic? And is it considered rude to take pictures of the houses/cottages in the area without asking permission? Obviously we would ask permission if the owners were on-site, but if they are not around?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

The Dunraven Arms is in the centre of town and is lovely.

You would need to book a table for Sunday Lunch. http://www.dunravenhotel.com/
